What are Tasks and Punch Lists?
Tasks organize your Project into the major necessary steps. These are called Parent Tasks and can be assigned to a group of workers.
When your Task is almost done, Punchlists are there to easily inform your crew of the quick-hit items and finishing touches that are needed to finalize their Task’s completion.
Punchlists can be viewed and completed by anyone assigned to the Parent Task.
To create a Task in the app, use the “Add task” button.
- Enter the Task name.
- Select start and end dates.
- Use the “Assign to” button to assign the crew.
Once you enter the main information for a Task, you will be taken to the Task Details page.
The Task Details section allows you to view all task information, updates, task history, and access to photos from the task gallery and chat.
You can also use the Task Details section to update and add information to your task like changing the task status or adding a punchlist to let your team know what items need to be finished in order to complete the task.
To assign existing Tasks, view the Task Details. Tap on the blue “+” button next to the assignees’ profile pictures below the task description. This will pull up your contact list. Select the workers you want to assign. Save your changes by tapping the “Assign” button.
The newly assigned workers’ profile pictures will appear below the task description with the rest of the assigned crew.
Once a worker is assigned to a task, it will appear on their My Tasks view on the app. The My Tasks view gives them a list of their daily assigned tasks and allows them to give real time updates on their work.
To create a Punchlist, view your Task Details and scroll down to the Punchlist section. Tap on the “Add Items” button and type in each quick hit item that needs to be completed.
The crew assigned to that task will see the punchlist on their My Tasks tab and can update the list as they complete items one by one.
