Tasks which are imported or created may need to be broken up into smaller Subtasks for easier assignment and completion by workers. When you view a Parent Task, you will be able to create a Subtask that is automatically “linked” to the Parent Task. The Parent Task view will show all related Subtasks and their statuses. Viewing a Subtask will also show you the link to the Parent Task.
To create a Subtask, open a Task details tab and scroll down past the "Edit Task" section to view the "Sub task" section.
Click the “Create Sub-Task” button. This will open a new subtask view where you can enter the subtask details.
Subtasks can only be created from within an existing Task, which will become the Parent. Currently, it is not possible to change from a Subtask to an independent task, nor can you move Subtasks between Parent Tasks.
Note that if you archive a parent task, any subtasks will not be archived with it; you would need to archive the subtask(s) separately. Learn more about how to archive and delete tasks here.
