The first step in using the Crews by Core app is to create users (crew members). Adding your crew is essential. They must be entered into the app before you can assign any Projects or Tasks to them.
Easily add your crew one of two ways: using your phone’s contact list or by scanning the workers’ Crews by Core profile QR codes.
As you are inviting users to the app, make sure to assign them their correct roles or trades. Knowing who is a carpenter and who is an electrician makes assigning tasks and sub-tasks faster and easier.
If you have a large crew, you can organize them by grouping them under labels. As you add users to the system you can add an “Organization” tag. This will group them with other users with the same tag. For example, you can group your team of four painters together by using an Organization tag/name of “Painters.” Organization tags like this can be applied to any users that you add in the future.
Adding Users by Phone Contact List
The easiest way to add your workers as users is through your phone’s contact list.
Tap on the Crew icon at the bottom of the screen and then tap the blue plus sign in the corner. This will pull up your contact list.
After you select or enter the worker’s contact information and their role, tap the “Invite” button. They will receive a text message with a link to download the Crews by Core app.
Please note, your crew must log in to the app using the same number you used from your contact list otherwise the workers will not be automatically linked to your account.
Once they create their profile, they will be linked to your crew and project.
Adding Users by QR Code
If your workers have already downloaded the Crews by Core app on their own, their worker profile will have a unique QR code.
Add them by scanning their QR code using your phone’s camera. Tap on the Crew icon at the bottom of the screen and then tap the QR icon in the upper right corner.
Once you scan their QR code, their worker profile will be linked to your crew and project.
