The Skills section of your Core Profile is a quick list of your construction skills for employers and coworkers to see. Let everyone know at a glance what you are good at and what you have done in the past!
To add skills to your profile, click or tap the listed options next to the Skills section. Showcase your skills by adding any relevant work experience (types of projects you have worked on like drywall finishing or wood framing), hard skills (which specialty equipment are you familiar with?), your best qualities as an employee (have you led a team before? Are you always on time?), and any other training. Be thorough!
If you do not see a skill you have listed in the suggestions, scroll to the bottom of the Skills section and click or tap on the blue “Add Skills” button. Add your skills there!
Once you have added skills to your profile, they will be displayed in five categories: Hard Skills, Soft Skills, Equipment, Education, and General.
If you use Core’s referral system, your references have the chance to confirm and vouch for some of your skills. When they vouch for your skills, they will appear directly below the Skills section. It will show each of your references and the skills they have confirmed. The heart icon next to a skill lets potential employers know that this is a skill you are proficient in and have the references to back it up.
